The series started out okay, but slowly went down hill as the series continued. The author has drug this series on way too long and seems to have run out of ideas to make the books unique. The last 4 books have the same main story line with a different city as the backdrop.

The villains are the same through every book and the main characters of the books fall for the same stuff over and over and the same drama plays out. Certain asp I read this whole series due to the cheap price on the e-books. Certain aspects of the books are not making sense any longer example: The time travel thing.

The rules that she laid out for time travel in the first place seem to no longer apply and Caitlin finds the same people no matter where or when she is. I was hoping that she would wrap this series up and give us something new with this book, but alas, she didn't. I couldn't finish this book as the writing seemed to get worse and I couldn't stomach yet another book of nothing new.

I will not be reading book 8. View 1 comment. Feb 23, Deborah rated it did not like it. I only read enough of this book to tell it was the same as the one before and the one before that etc etc then I gave up, life's too short. I didn't even review this on amazon since some else had already said everything I wanted to but seriously Groundhog Day I'm in love with this book.

I hate having to wait for the next one to come out, I mean come on! When my wife told me this book came out, I had to read it straight away. At first it made me think of how the series started and to look back I feel like I walked every step with the main characters Celeb and Caitlin. The 7th book packs a punch in the story line, then it comes with a sucker punch that you never see coming.

It makes me really want to tell everyone what happens like It literall Wow It makes me really want to tell everyone what happens like It literally is bursting to come out. With the last book I found a new way to read these books which makes it fun. On Every other chapter you get to read from another characters perspective, It was too confusing when it was , Caitlin, Celeb, Sam and Kyle.

Now they are all together except for Kyle, I skipped those chapters so I'm totally in the dark just as Caitlin and the rest find out. It adds to the wow impact. If you want after you read the book like that go back and just read the Kyle's chapters. Book 8 it wont be possible to do this It's great writing by the author.

The only thing that brings the book down, is the bad editing job. There is lots of little errors through out the book still. One rough example, "Cailtin goes to the window to gather her thoughts after the most wonderful night she ever had. She felt Celeb behind her and her soft hands on her shoulders.

Otherwise They are doing a lot of strange things to their selves. I realized this is the page number that should be at the top. However when it does get mixed in it stops you reading key words at times. Stopping you from being able to understand and just have to guess it. Hurry up with book 8 already! I decided to make a quiz for this book 10 questions well 9 and 1 fun one.

If you like to take it take the quiz Mar 26, Trudi rated it liked it. Such as They didn't need the eye drops or the skin protector. Or was it purposely left out for some unknown reason??? And why was it said that it was not possible for Vampires fly on the island of Skye, yet Sera flew there?

So many other times it mentioned other vampires flying off the island. Personally, I think it would have read much better had there been some kind of uproar among the kings men if they'd argued about being turned themselves before fighting Way too much inconsistency! Dec 07, Katie Peace rated it it was amazing. Absolutely loved it! I was hooked once again from the beginning of the book and could not stop reading it!

The entire series is amazing and I can't wait for the next one. Major cliff hanger in the end! Thank you Morgan so much for the book : ive been telling almost all of my friends to read this series and I hope they will enjoy it as much as I did. Dec 06, Marissa Ford rated it it was amazing. I absolutely loved it. I have loved the entire series and this was no disappointment. Very excited for the next book. Would recommend it to everyone. Aug 31, Lisa Marie rated it it was ok. There were times the overall same thoughts and scenes played out in this book but a lot fewer times did it occur and when it did not for the same length that it did in the previous books.

Maybe in the decrease in page length was dude to her cutting out all the repeated items that she added so often in the books before. If you have nothing new to say then get to the point of the matter. I found t Shorter than the previous few books of the series which actually might have helped the overall story. I found this book to be better than the last few simply because there were differences. Yes it was the same question she has been on for the last 4 books but it wasn't all the same.

The addition of Scarlett has also helped for variation in the story. There is another view point and person to share in the story line. Almost love triangle issues in this one but they came and went without anything happening. Also there was more rational thinking occurring for some characters for some situations. A little character growth. And finally, some much needed change of story line in regards to the bad guy. Still overall a very poorly written and not that wonderful series but better than the last few. Aug 23, Rebecca Rogers rated it did not like it. I think any other author who wrote this series could and would have done times better than morgan rice.

Aug 21, Shannon Neathway rated it it was ok. Well this book had less spelling and grammatical errors than the last two, which is good I guess. It still felt like it was written by a 14 year old pubescent girl though. Who was he? Why did he abandon her? As the search broadens, they are shocked by what they discover about who she really is. But they are not the only ones searching for the legendary sword. But Sam soon finds himself in way over his head, smack in the middle of a vampire war.

Will he jeopardize their search? Why are these locations so important to the vampire race? But they may not even make it. If you loved the first book, get your hands on this one and fall in love all over again. The ending was a cliffhanger that was so spectacular that you will immediately want to buy the next book, just to see what happens. As you can see, this book was a huge step up in the series and receives a solid A.

New York. American has been decimated, wiped out from the second Civil War. In this post-apocalyptic world, survivors are far and few between. The death stadium where opponents are made to fight to the death, in the most barbaric of ways. There is only one rule to the arena: no one survives. Deep in the wilderness, high up in the Catskill Mountains, 17 year old Brooke Moore manages to survive, hiding out with her younger sister, Bree.

They are careful to avoid the gangs of slaverunners who patrol the countryside. But one day, Brooke is not as careful as she can be, and Bree is captured. The slaverunners take her away, heading to the city, and to what will be a certain death. What follows is a post-apocalyptic, action-packed thriller, as the two of them pursue the slaverunners on the most dangerous ride of their lives, following them deep into the heart of New York. Along the way, if they are to survive, they will have to make some of the hardest choices and sacrifices of their lives, encountering obstacles neither of them had expected—including their unexpected feelings for each other.

Will they rescue their siblings? Will they make it back? And will they, themselves, have to fight in the arena? I never thought it would be something I would enjoy…. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised at how addicting this book was. ARENA ONE was one of those books that you read late into the night until your eyes start to cross because you don't want to put it down…. It is no secret that I love strong heroines in the books I read…. Brooke was tough, strong, un-relentless, and while there is romance in the book, Brooke wasn't ruled by that Morgan has managed again to produce a strong set of characters that make us cheer for them on every page.
