Although the sky was far from dark, it painted a lovely yet eerie picture of things to come. Lightning streaked across the sky seeming as if to rip it away piece by piece. All along while this was happening I was lost in a daze almost as if to be frozen solid from fear. After a mere fraction of a second it dawned upon me that this was it. It occurred to me that I, after a few moments would be no more.

Simply be nothing, a mere grain of sand lost amongst the vast desert of time. Even worse, this planet which once flourished with life may no longer exist.
Although there was nothing to be done, my mind franticly searched for an escape route only to find a dead end. Almost all at once and without warning the sky unleashed it anger in a fury of continuous rage feeling no remorse for life, not even for the weakest of forms. All hope for me was lost, with no sign of relief in sight I fell to the ground in defeat accepting my fate to come. All around me chaos enveloped the land destroying everything in sight. Seeming as to save me for last, making me witness to the devastating power of the unknown.

I gasped and gasped holding on to the little bit of life that remained in me asking why, screaming, demanding an answer for what was happening.
As my eyelids closed without my control I caught a glimpse of a blue flash most definitely and unmistakably out of place. It was a ghostly light, a light that taunted me, almost begging me to discover its mysterious origin. In my last thoughts following my last breath I thought of that flash, I thought of it as I began to slip away into unconsciousness wishing its majestic comfort would never end. Just as fast as the flash came into my mind it was gone, revealing only the cold and dreadful darkness of death itself. Read more Read less. Chance to win daily prizes.
